This is the only stair cover kit available that meets the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and the 2009 International Residential Code (IRC) - used in all 50 states and most jurisdictions.
Beware of inferior products with zippers or Velcro that can leak and break, do not have insulation and cannot meet Code. Also beware of domes and tents that have no gaskets and do not provide an air seal. The Codes require gaskets and insulation - other products simply do not meet code!
By reducing the amount of heat and moisture leaking into or out of your attic, the severity of ice dams and attic mold is greatly reduced!
Available in 22”x54” and 25”x54” sizes to fit most pull down attic stairs – this attic stair cover pays for itself in months!
Fits between trusses, rails, and existing construction. Optional - add your own extra insulation to the sides if you have clearance.
